Virasat ONGC Dehradun 2025: Celebrating 30 Years of Art & Heritage in Dehradun
Dehradun is all set to host one of India’s most cherished cultural festivals — Virasat – Art and Heritage Festival 2025. Organized by REACH (Rural Entrepreneurship for Art and Cultural Heritage) and supported by ONGC, this 15-day celebration of heritage, music, dance, and crafts begins on 4 October 2025 at Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Stadium, Kaulagarh Road.
This year marks a special milestone as Virasat completes 30 years of preserving and promoting India’s artistic traditions.
A Festival with a Message
The Virasat ONGC Dehradun is dedicated to the memory of Hiroshima’s atomic bombing victims, marking 80 years since the tragedy. The theme reflects the festival’s commitment to spreading awareness, sensitivity, and peace in a world still struggling with wars and conflicts.
Grand Opening with Ustad Amjad Ali Khan
The festival will commence on 4 October with a soul-stirring Sarod recital by Ustad Amjad Ali Khan, one of India’s greatest classical musicians. The inauguration will take place in the presence of distinguished dignitaries and cultural icons.

For three decades, Virasat has served as a platform to:
-
Preserve dying art forms and give recognition to folk traditions.
-
Empower artisans by providing them visibility and economic opportunities.
-
Engage younger generations with cultural heritage.
-
Promote peace and inclusivity through art.
As Dehradun comes alive with colors, music, and traditions, Virasat 2025 promises to be a spectacular journey into India’s heritage. Whether you are a lover of classical music, a craft enthusiast, or simply looking for a cultural escape, this festival has something for everyone.
